New Age loving reiki master and designer Donna Karan (1948) became famous overnight in 1985 with her debut collection of 'Seven Easy Pieces', a handful of interchangeable items in luxurious jersey and cashmere "that work together to create an entire wardrobe that goes from day to evening, week day to weekend, season to season," according to Donna. Its basic piece is still a black bodysuit over which very forgiving ("Delete the negative, accentuate the positive!") skirts, jackets, trousers and wraps are worn. "Nothing ends up in the collection that I have not approved of," Donna says. "I literally fit all those clothes."
