Set up by Anna Molinari and her late husband Gianpaolo Tarabini in 1977 Blumarine is the Italian equivalent of glamour, also known as: 'No dress to small and no diamond too big'. The label is knows for animal prints, a bit of cleavage and fringes (think Cavalli Light). Outside Italy Blumarine is very successful in Russia and the Far East. "Blue represents my love for the sea and my predilection for this colour," Molinari says. "It reminds me of freedom, of huge hopes, of vastness and wide horizons. And of Capri where I grew up. It's still my main inspiration: the constantly changing environment of my surroundings."
